I am a Full Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Naples "Federico II" and the former President of the Italian Society for General Relativity and Gravitation. I am the PhD Coordinator for the program in Cosmology at the Scuola Superiore Meridionale (Naples). My scientific activity is devoted to Cosmology and General Relativity. My main scientific achievements are related to the possibility to explain dark energy and dark matter by curvature invariants. The results of my research are published in more than 600 papers appearing in peer reviewed journals. I am also the author of several monographies for Springer, Cambridge, etc.
